I have been reading Local Harvest's website and now I am overwhelmed by possibilities. I just want to source raw-milk that I don't have to go to Greenwich to get. Also, purchase a copy of anything by Edna Lewis. She does Southern Food the right way: Slow, old-fashioned and deliciously in-season. No Paula Deen, she. She is above reproach, and even includes a wonderful recipe for chow-chow. She talks a lot about "putting food by," right up your alley! Enjoy your time in warmer climes.
